The European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the Natolin (Warsaw) campus of the College of Europe is delighted to announce that the 5th European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) PhD Summer School entitled "In Search of Resilience in the EU and its Neighbourhoods: Reconciling Democracy and Security?" will be held at Natolin on 21-30 June 2017.

The School offers to PhD students of Political Science / International Relations / European Studies / Comparative Politics an unparalleled learning experience providing them with an opportunity to acquire and improve their research skills related to the analysis of European foreign policy, with a particular focus on the ENP, and of political, conflict- and security-related developments in the EU’s eastern and southern neighbourhoods.

The School provides PhD students with a unique programme combining lectures by leading scholars, experts, and practitioners with opportunities for the participants to present their PhD projects and benefit from expert advice and tailor-made feedback. Advancing participants’ research and presentation skills, as well as helping them to expand their networks, are at the heart of the Summer School’s mission.

The successful applicants will benefit from a tuition fee waiver and will generously be offered board and lodging on the Natolin campus of the College of Europe, which is situated in a 120-hectare historical park and nature reserve in the southern part of Warsaw, Poland.
