On 19-20 January 2015 a Euro-Arab seminar took place in the headquarters of the EEAS in Brussels. It sought to bring together directors and high-level representatives of the Arab security and defence institutions as well as representatives of EU think-tanks, member states and EU institutions working in the same field. It aimed at stimulating discussion on security-related developments and cooperation possibilities.
It was organized in the framework of the European Union funded project ‘El Hiwar - Training and Information Course on Euro-Arab Diplomacy’ which is developed by the College of Europe and the British Council. The project aims at improving the flow of information and promoting dialogue among officials working in European Union institutions and in the Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
