Speech by Professor Stephan KEUKELEIRE on “European Foreign Policy and the EEAS – The Quest for External Relevance”

On 21 March 2012, Professor Stephan KEUKELEIRE, Chairholder of the TOTAL Chair of EU Foreign Policy, was one of the speakers during the Public Hearing of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament on "One Year on: The role of EEAS in the Impulse and Coordination of the Union's Foreign Policy" in the European Parliament in Brussels.

The other participants were Messrs Pierre VIMONT and David O'SULLIVAN, respectively Executive Secretary General and Chief Operating Officer of the European External Action Service, Mr Maroš SEFCOVIC, Vice-President of the European Commission and Mr Karel PINXTEN, Member of the Court of Auditors. The Public Hearing was chaired by Mr Elmar BROK, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of he EP.

The title of the intervention of Professor KEUKELEIRE was: “European Foreign Policy and the EEAS – The Quest for External Relevance”.
