Study trip to Geneva of the EU International Relations and Diplomacy students

From 1-5 March 2015, the students of the EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies department visited Geneva on a study trip. Geneva is the European centre for multilateral diplomacy and home to many international organizations including the European headquarters of the United Nations (UN), the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Committee of the Red Cross. The European Union is represented by a Permanent Mission to the WTO and a Permanent Delegation to the UN Office and other international organizations. The students enjoyed speakers from all of these institutions, participated in a seminar on cybersecurity offered by the Geneva Internet Platform and had the opportunity to attend the high-level segment of the Human Rights Council in the Palais des Nations. The study trip benefited inter alia from the support of the Swiss Mission to the EU and the Republic and Canton of Geneva. It also included a networking evening with Geneva-based alumni at a reception hosted by the Ambassador of France to the UN Office in Geneva.
