From 24 to 28 September 2012, three academic assistants of the College of Europe, Ms Claire BAFFERT (Bruges, POL), Mr Mattia FILIPPIN (Natolin), and Ms Claudia ZULAIKA (Bruges, IRD) attended the GLOBE Leadership Seminar in Talloires, France. Organised by the Master’s Program in International Affairs and Governance at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and The Fletcher School in Boston, USA, this seminar brought together high-level academics and practitionners together with 26 students from five universities (in Colombia, the USA, Spain, Switzerland, Russia) to explore the topic of leadership in Humanitarian Action.
Claire, Mattia and Claudia took part in students’ case-studies presented to a panel of academics at the end of the seminar. They also had the opportunity to attend the Practitioner Seminar on 28 September on the topic ‘Economic Transformation and Political Re-Balancing on a Global Scale: The Cases of India and China’.
