Dr Cristian NITOIU, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the Natolin campus of the College of Europe, just published an article entitled "Between legality and legitimacy: Romania’s fight against corruption" for openDemocracy.
The article shows that although Romania has made vital steps in developing its institutional capabilities to deal with corruption, the way that such institutions have been strengthened raises important questions about the nature of its democratic governance.
