The College of Europe Development Office, in a consortium led by ESSEC IRENÉ - Institute for Research and Education on Negotiation, has been organising negotiation training courses for officials of the EU Institutions since 2016.
The COVID-19 pandemic led to a change of format, and the courses are now fully adapted to an online environment. A new series of online training courses is taking place: from how to negotiate online to how to handle difficult negotiations, different aspects of the topic are being addressed in the e-classroom. Given the nature of the subject matter, simulations of multilateral and bilateral negotiations are a key element of the programmes and of their success.
