Following a request of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Brussels, the College of Europe organized a tailored five-day training course on “The European Union and its Institutions at work” on 13-17 October 2014. The course was designed to improve the EU-related knowledge of a group of 23 Saudi Arabian diplomats. The training course took place in Brussels and comprised lectures on the EU Institutions, its decision-making process and selected EU policies (EU trade policy, EU Energy policy, EU Visa Policy and the Schengen Agreement). Furthermore, the programme included several visits to the EU Institutions, where participants had the opportunity to meet officials working in relevant policy fields.
