Yesterday’s murderous attack on the offices of “Charlie Hebdo” has been an attack on freedom of expression, openness and tolerance, values which belong to the core of the European project. The College of Europe wishes to express its full solidarity and to pay its respects to the courage of the journalists of “Charlie Hebdo” for persisting with their work in spite of the threats to their lives.
