WEASA 2017 Publication: "Grasping the virtual: (geo)politics, economics and privacy in a digital era"

The 2017 edition of WEASA (Warsaw Euro-Atlantic Summer Academy) looked at the many digital challenges we face today. Some of its alumni took that topic further and wrote a series of pieces on a wide range of issues, from cryptocurrencies to the very nature of our identities in a digital era.

Such articles draw on a large range of regional experiences and case studies, analyzing, among others, global discussions on the future of the web, Russian internet norms, Ukrainian e-governance, Moldovan responses to information warfare, and hybrid campaigns in Bulgaria.

The papers have now been compiled into a single publication titled "Grasping the virtual: (geo)politics, economics and privacy in a digital era", which is available here.
