Job Vacancy – Student Affairs Officer at the College of Europe, Natolin campus (Warsaw)

The College of Europe is seeking applications for the position of full-time Student Affairs Officer with a starting date of 19 May 2014 at the latest.

 

Objective:

To serve as a contact point between students and administration. To provide support for students in their day-to-day life on campus and in the city. To coordinate the organisation of extracurricular activities for students on and off campus.

 

We are looking for graduates with:

  • a bachelor’s degree;

  • excellent knowledge of English and Polish, both spoken and written; working knowledge of French would be an advantage;

  • computer literacy, very good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; other IT skills would be welcome (e.g. experience of using intranet systems and social media);

  • experience of a frontline customer service role (1.5-2 years);

  • excellent interpersonal skills;

  • high sense of responsibility and initiative;

  • evidence of highly attuned organisation skills;

  • ability to work autonomously and as a team member;

  • experience of work in multi-cultural environments;

  • interest in the objectives of the College.

     

Tasks include:

  • coordinating College of Europe student affairs by providing students with comprehensive information regarding campus life and logistics.

  • supporting students during their stay in Poland with issues such as visa procedures, legalisation of stay, health insurance and healthcare.

  • serving as a point of contact between students and College administration.

  • planning and implementing a range of extracurricular activities for students – including cultural events, workshops, sports and recreation.

  • supervising student-led activities on campus – national days, projects, clubs, associations, meetings and debates.

  • ongoing communication with students, including the monitoring and updating of intranet content.

  • collaboration with other departments in order to achieve the objectives of the College.
