The Capacity Building Office and the Religion and Politics Nest of the College of Europe in Natolin were pleased to jointly organise a workshop titled: "Religious Diplomacy" delivered by Mr Constantinos ALEXANDRIS, Career Diplomat and Expert on Religious Diplomacy at the European External Action Service.
The aim of the workshop was to provide students with diplomatic skills and practical tools to navigate the challenges and opportunities in this complex field. The workshop consists of two parts. The first session explored the religious dimensions influencing global political, cultural, and security landscapes, while also examining existing tools of religious engagement within the EEAS.
In the second part, students were engaged in a simulation exercise, taking on the roles of representatives from religious institutions, EU bodies, and governments, negotiating on a timely issue at the intersection of religion and politics.
