Diplomatic and Executive Training on the EU in Chile

The College of Europe Development Office implemented, from 7 to 11 October 2019, the second edition of the diplomatic training course of the EU-funded project "EU Policy and Outreach Partnership – South America" in Chile.

The programme of the Diplomatic Training, took place at the Diplomatic Academy of Chile, covered topics such as the functioning of the EU, the priorities of the EU foreign policy, EU cyber security policy and EU external action in the field of climate change, among other topics. Participants practised and sharpened their negotiation skills during a simulation exercise of EU negotiations at the end of the week.

In addition, the College of Europe Development Office mobilised Professor Carme COLOMINA to deliver an Executive Training workshop on "Democracy and diplomacy in times of fake news", on 8 October. The event was attended by a group of diplomats, other public officials and journalists.
