Dr Andriy TYUSHKA's recent academic activities in Ukraine and Italy

Dr Andriy TYUSHKA, Research Fellow in the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair at the College of Europe in Natolin, recently participated in the following academic undertakings in Ukraine and Italy:

In Ukraine, Dr TYUSHKA took part in the EU-EaP Academy: Supporting Next Generation of Scholars in European Studies, an Erasmus+ project event co-organized by Ukrainian, Georgian and Moldovan Associations of European Studies in Kyiv on 11-15 February 2019. The event brought together young scholars – PhD students and early-career Post-Doc researchers from Eastern Partnership countries as well as established scholars, think-tankers and policymakers from Europe and its neighbourhood, in an effort to encourage scholarly dialogue and topical discussions on EU-Eastern neighbourhood affairs: past, present and future. Dr TYUSHKA gave a talk on "The Law and Politics of Association: The EU, the Eastern Neighbourhood and the New-Generation Association Agreements" and moderated the research workshop on European studies.

In Italy, on 29 January 2019, Dr TYUSHKA participated in the EU IDEA Project-inaugural conference Shaping the EU’s Future through Differentiated Integration, co-organized by the Instituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) in Rome and the project partner institutions. The EU IDEA (an acronym for the project title: ‘Integration and Differentiation for Effectiveness and Accountability’) is a collaborative research project on differentiated integration within and beyond Europe that brings together 15 EU and extra-EU partners coordinated by IAI Rome.
