Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2021: Getting ready

We left in 2019 with the closing ceremony organised by the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to wrap up an intense year of training for Croatian civil servants in preparation for the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first semester of 2020. Now, after having trained almost a thousand Croatian civil servants, the College of Europe is repeating this successful experience in Slovenia, where around 700 civil servants will be trained in order to be ready for their turn of the Presidency of the Council from July to December 2021. The College of Europe was invited to deliver a number of training modules on soft/language skills, in particular:

  • Designing documents in English;
  • Working in English and French.

For this new project in Slovenia, the College of Europe is working, amongst others, with two of its visiting professors: Nick GIBBS and Dalibor TOMIC.

The implementation of these courses is already underway and will continue until autumn 2020.
