Two new executive education courses in 2021: ‘European Defence & Security’ and ‘Communicating the EU’

We are happy to announce that the College of Europe Development Office will be organizing two new executive courses in 2021.

The ‘European Defence & Security’ course will analyse how the EU is boosting its ambitions, efforts and tools to address rapidly evolving security challenges both within the EU and outside its borders. An ever changing international stage and increased threats such as cyber-attacks and other forms of hybrid threats as well as global terrorism call for more integrated mechanisms and strategic autonomy. The course is a unique opportunity to get a thorough understanding and practical approach of how the EU is trying to address and prioritise this key topic.

The second new course, named ‘Communicating the EU’ will focus on essential communication skills and know-how for professionals working in an EU environment. Starting with an overview of how the EU handles its own communication, the course will afterwards offer tools and knowledge to establish a communication strategy and deliver communication actions in key aspects such as press relations, social media management, public campaigns, and events. The course also includes a module on the specificities of communication matters for EU-funded projects.

Both courses will be fully ready in early 2021!
