MARISSEN Vicky - Deciphering Delegated and Implementing Acts: Practical Insights and Tools (8h)
Professor: Vicky MARISSEN
Assistant: Marco NICOLICH
This workshop focuses on delegated and implementing acts, which make up 98% of binding EU rules and are key instruments of European secondary legislation. Building on prior courses in EU law and decision-making, it explores in detail how these acts are adopted, the institutional balance of power involved and the role of Member State committees. Through a hands-on approach and concrete case studies, students will learn to identify and interpret delegated and implementing acts within legislation, understand their procedures and scope, and use available tools to monitor and track them. The workshop equips participants with a practical methodology and toolkit essential for future careers in EU institutions, national administrations, the private sector or NGOs.
